Rahul Pilania
Shri Rahul Pilania is Post Graduate in Economics. He joined BSF on 22nd December 2008 as an Assistant Commandant (Direct Entry) officer. After undergoing basic training in BSF Academy Tekanpur, he has served on Indo- Pak International Border in Rajasthan frontier, Indo- Bangladesh Border in Insurgency prone and PF Malaria prone area of Nalkata, Tripura, and smuggling prone area of Kalyani, West Bengal. He has also rendered his services as an Intelligence Officer/DC(G) in the highly active western border of Ferozpur sector, Punjab. Apart from that, he has also served as a Commando instructor and OIC of the Commando group at Training Centre & School, Hazaribagh (one of the Premier training institution and centre of excellence of BSF) wherein imparted training in the field of counter-terrorism, anti-terrorism and anti-naxal operation.
During eh service, he has undergone many important courses such as Platoon Weapon Course, Commando Course, Junior Command Course (BSF), Basic Intelligence Course and some Anti-terrorism assistance courses. Apart from that, the officer has represented the BSF Foot marching Contingent as a Contingent Commander on the Rajpath on 26th January, 2018 as well as participated in many BSF raising day Parade as a Parade commander.
In the recognition of his dedication and devotion to duty, he was awarded with Union Minister Medal for ‘Par excellence in training’ 2017, 10 DG’s Commendation Roll, 02 DG’s Appreciation Card, 02 ADG’s Commendation Card and 03 IG’s Commendation Card.
He joined the Academy on 19th Jan 2022.
