M. Sree Abhinav

M. Sree Abhinav is an IPS officer of the 2014 batch borne on Tamilnadu cadre. He hails from Hyderabad and has completed his B.Tech in Information Technology and Masters in Police Management.
During his IPS training, he received the Sword of Honour, for being the best Outdoor Probationer of his batch. On completion of his training, he was posted as Assistant Superintendent of Police (Trg.), Villupuram, and later as Asst. Superintendent of Police, Thuckalay, Kanyakumari district.
On being promoted to Superintendent of Police, he served in Chennai City police as Deputy Commissioner of Police and Traffic and then as Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore District and Superintendent of Police, Salem District.
He has investigated and supervised the investigation of many sensational crimes in the state of Tamil Nadu. He has been instrumental and introduced many innovative projects mainly focussed on improved use of technology in policing. He has also undergone training in the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning for policing.
He received the Chief Minister’s Special Duty medal in the year 2019. He is also a competitive shooter who has won multiple medals in various shooting competitions. He is also certified as a ‘Renowned Shooter’ by the National Rifle Association of India in 2023.

He joined the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad in December 2022 as a trainer for IPS Officers.
