Ms. Malika Garg
Ms. Malika Garg is an officer of the Indian Police Service, 2015 batch, Andhra Pradesh cadre, and is currently serving as Assistant Director at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy.
She has over ten years of experience in policing, including assignments as Superintendent of Police in Prakasam, Tirupati and Palnadu districts, and in Cyber Crimes and Technical Services. She has also served as Joint Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh in the Real Time Governance and Information Technology departments, working at the intersection of policing, technology and governance.
She has received several recognitions for her work, including the Best Electoral Practices Award and the DGP Commendation Disc.
She is a graduate in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Delhi, holds a Master’s degree in Police Management from Osmania University, and has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Cyber Law & Cyber Forensics (PGDCLCF) from the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru.
Her professional interests include police management, decision-making, technology-enabled policing, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and professional learning.
