Shri Sujeet Pandey
Shri Sujeet Pandey, IPS is a senior Indian Police Service officer of the 1994 Batch (Uttar Pradesh Cadre). Born on 1 August 1968 in Patna, Bihar, he holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in History from Hindu College, Delhi University. During his distinguished career spanning over three decades, he has held several important operational, investigative, intelligence, and administrative assignments in the State of Uttar Pradesh as well as on Central Deputation.
Shri Pandey served as Superintendent of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police in 12 districts. Was Inspector General, Lucknow Range, IG, Special Task Force, as Addl DGP in 4 Zones, 1st Police Commissioner of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Served as Addl Director General, Provincial Armed Constabulary and Director General (Fire & Emergency Services) before joining as Director of the Academy.
Shri Sujeet Pandey was with the United Nations for one year where the officer established the United Nations Special Task Force. Served in the Central Bureau of Investigation for 7 years and is credited with establishment of Cyber Forensic Lab in the CBI. Was also instrumental in setting up of 112 – Emergency Response infrastructure in the State of Uttar Pradesh.
Shri Pandey has been a faculty for INTERPOL training programmes across multiple countries and has been decorated with Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service (2010), President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (2024), Union Home Minister’s Utkrishta Seva Padak (2019), Union Home Minister’s Ati-Utkrishta Seva Padak (2025), Kumbh Seva Padaks in the year 2019 and in 2025, UNMIK Medal (United Nations Service, Kosovo), Chief Minister’s Commendation in 1997 – Riot Control, DGPs Commendation Disk (Silver in 2015, DG’s Commendation Disk (Gold) in 2018 and DG’s Commendation Disk (Platinum) in 2019.
