Main Gate Complex
 An imposing Main Gate Complex befitting the stature of this prestigious institute has been inaugurated by Shri Ganeshwar Jha, IPS Director, SVP National Police Academy on 31st October, 2003 the birth anniversary of Late Shri Sardar Patel. This 40 metre wide Main Gate complex has got separate entry and exit points. The roof is covered with a 14-metre diameter polycarbonate dome. This imposing structure with good landscaping and exteriors has been designed and executed by CPWD.

Millennium Training Complex
  The Millennium Training complex was inaugurated by Shri P. V. Rajgopal, IPS, on 31st May 2001. This complex contains Eight Octagonal shaped buildings, which are all interconnected. This complex is equipped with ultra modern teaching aids and electronic gadgets. This complex will house all the training sessions of Basic and In-service courses. The complex contains four Class rooms, two Computer Labs, Faculty Lounge, Lounge for Officer Trainees, Operations Briefing room, Cafeteria, Support Staff Room, Syndicate rooms and office chambers for senior faculty.
Auditorium
 The renovated auditorium was inaugurated by Sh. Ganeshwar jha, Director, on 10-09-2003. The renovated auditorium has been facilitated with state of art Digital Track Stereo Sound system, with a capacity of 350 high quality seats. It has also been completely air-conditioned and latest electrical fittings are placed. The stage has also been redesigned with new motorised curtain system.
Class Rooms
 The Academy has 4 class rooms out of which two are gallery type. U-shaped seating arrangements for direct eye-contact with the speaker has been provided in other two rooms. The class rooms are having PA system, modern audio-visual equipments.
Conference Hall
 The A.P. Conference Hall is fully air-conditioned and is provided with multi media projector, cordless microphone conference system and other Audio-Visual devices required for presentation. It is the venue of all important Seminars, Conferences, Panel Discussions etc.
Computer Forensic Lab
  The Computer Forensic Lab has been established through a Project on “Identification of appropriate technologies and procedures for handling and analyzing Digital Evidence” sanctioned by the Department of I.T., MCIT, Govt.of India. A financial grant of Rs.50 lakhs was given to National Police Academy. This Computer Forensic Lab has got both Research and Training facilities.
Computer Lab
 The Academy has a well established Computer Centre and an I.T. Centre. All Officers Trainees and participants of in-service courses are given training on use of Computers. The Academy has more than 250 P.Cs. Multi-Media computers with DLP projection facilities are available in all the class-rooms and the conference halls. Computers are also installed in individual rooms of all the Officer Trainees in the Central I.P.S. Mess. All the faculty members are also provided with Computers in their offices and residences. The Academy has a campus-wide network with Fibre-Optics back-bone. All the sections of the Academy are connected through LAN. Dedicated Internet connection through a 256 Kbps leased line is also available in the Academy for 24 hr Internet access to Officer Trainees, participants of various Inservice Courses and faculty members. The Academy has High-end Scanners, CD Writers and Laser network printers. 6 high-end Servers are installed in a separate server room. The Academy has some of the latest software for office automation and training which include Microsoft Back Office, MS-Office 2000, MS-Visual Studio, Adobe products like Page makers, Photo-shop, etc. In addition, the Academy also has some specialised Police softwares like Portrait Building, CCIS, etc. The Computer Section has recently developed Touch Screen Informative Kiosks containing multimedia presentations about the Academy.
Darshan Dhyan Kendra
 The police job being very stressful, it is expected that meditation will help the future police leaders manage stress and acquire mental strength to carry out their duties. For this purpose, a Dhyan Kendra with a design befitting its solemnity  is located in the campus. This meditation hall has a seating capacity of about 100 persons.
Electro-Mechanical Firing Range
 An electro-mechanical firing range for giving firing practices to the trainee officers on moving targets, sliding targets, pop up targets, turning targets, cluster targets etc., is available in the Academy. The surprise element in this range is the main factor which tests the response time and alertness of the firer.
Forensic Science Laboratory
 In order to acquire practical skills as well as to get acquainted with various aspects of scientific aids available for crime investigation for trainee officers and in-service course participants, the Academy has a mini Forensic Science Laboratory. It is equipped with a wide range of microscopes like Binocular, Projection, Stereo, Infrared Image Converter and Bullet Comparison Microscopes. It is also equipped with other equipments like Fingerprint Comparator, Ultraviolet Sources, Fingerprint Recording Camera, fourth generation Handheld Explosive Detector, Metal Detector and Polygraph machine. Recently, various fingerprint development and recording kits, powders, brushes and other related equipment have been imported to upgrade the existing facilities. This is one of the well equipped laboratory exclusively for training purposes.
The Academy also acquired Narco Pouch Disposal Field Kit for identification of drugs, Traffic Radar System for target vehicle speed detection, Alco Sensor IV with Printer for detecting breath alcohol and Ballistic Combat Jacket, Police Covert Vest and Improvised Explosive Device Suit.
Guest Houses
 There are a number of guest houses named after different states or Central Police Organisations that has funded the construction.The recent additions are ITBP Bhawan, Bengal Bhawan and Rajasthan Bhawan.
Hospital
 The Academy has a 20-bed Hospital with two Medical Officers and a physiotherapy unit. Specialists in various fields visit the Hospital and provide treatment . It is headed by a Staff Surgeon of the rank of Senior Medical Officer. All trainee officers may utilise the available facilities for medical attention. The timings are from 8.30 am to 12.00 noon and from 5.30 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. In case of emergencies the doctors can be contacted on telephone. The Trainee Officers, except in special circumstances, usually, shall visit the hospital for consultation in the evenings after outdoor activities. This hospital also helps the surrounded inhabitants medically as a part of social service.
For more serious ailments, the Academy draws upon referral hospitals in Hyderabad.
Infectious diseases must be reported immediately to the Medical Officers.
Language laboratory
 The Academy has a Language Laboratory, which is equipped with a new technique developed to teach a second language/foreign language. The B.E.L. type of laboratory, i.e. Wired Laboratory is in use. The objective of the language laboratory is to speed up the learning programme and to give the teacher more time to help each student with his problems.
This Wired Laboratory has 10 student-booths in which the students hear the master (-audio) respond with the correct utterances (-active) and may then replay the recording of their own responses and the master track for self-evaluation (-compare). Students, sitting in each booth, hear a lesson through head sets and repeat the drills of pronunciation and sentence pattern. On repetition the voices of the learners are recorded on a different track from master track which contains the lesson. Next time students listen to lessons as well as their own recording to compare their performance with the master. In case a student makes a mistake the teacher can correct him without disturbing the other students. Any student can contact the teacher by pressing button in his booth.
The teacher can contact all the students at a time and also he can listen and talk to the students, if desired, without disturbing others. The teacher can also control the student tape-recording. Students can surmount their difficulties by discussing with the teacher and other students also. A two-way conversation can also be established.
Library
 The Academy Library caters to the learning needs of IPS Officer Trainees, faculty members, Senior IPS Officers, Research Scholars from various Universities and trainee officers attending various Inservice Courses at the Academy. The Library personnel have "Service with Smile Attitude". They expect from Library users - "Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve Attitude". It holds more than 73,000 books on various domains of knowledge including larger proportion of books on Police Sciences. 160 periodicals and National and International Journals are subscribed in the Academy. Operational Control Room
 The Operational Control Room of the Academy is equipped with a Computer Aided Dispatch System (Visual CAD) consisting of one server and three nodes. This system provides method to:

  • Record and keep track of patrol units and personnel on duty with whom dispatch (control) is in radio contact.
  • Record information about all calls assigned by dispatcher.
  • View a summary of active calls and on duty personnel.
  • Record information about a variety of items such as wanted persons, towed vehicles, crime watch areas and hazardous locations.
  • Organise information into variety of reports

Each active unit and incident location is displayed on the map which works with Map Information running on each node. Operator interaction with the Visual Cad is conversational, using communications environment.
This modern operational control room has been set up with a view that budding future police leaders can be provided with the opportunity to realise and understand and at the same time operate advanced mechanism involved in Police Communication and Information Technology.

Scene of Crime Hall & Museum
 A Scene of Crime Hall has been specially constructed in the Academy to simulate crime scenes for developing practical skills necessary in crime investigation. Using this hall, the Academy faculty imparting training in different subject disciplines such as Law, Investigation, Forensic Science and Forensic Medicine are able to organise integrated crime scene simulated exercises. These exercises are intended to help the trainees to relate different subjects in a more comprehensive and absorbing manner. The exercise scenarios are, as far as possible, selected from actual cases successfully investigated by the field officers. Besides this methodology of training is demonstrated to other in-service trainees including the Training of Trainers' Course as an effective methodology in police training.
A police museum has been set up for the purpose of education for the trainees officers in the Academy. This museum houses exhibits on wide ranging subjects of police interest like the police uniform, badges of rank, equipment, modus operandi, police records, early police publications, manuals, standing orders, crime property, etc. to help the trainees to broaden their knowledge.
Stadium and Play ground
 The Academy has a standard size stadium which has six tracks of 400 meters along with other facilities inside the track like Hammer Throw, Javelin Throw, Shot-put, High Jump, etc. The Stadium has two pavilions on eastern and western sides. The capacity of each pavilion is around 300. There are four changing rooms, two in the pavilions and two in the main block of the Stadium which is also called Golf Block.
The Academy has one standard size Foot Ball ground, 2 Hockey grounds, 3 Volley Ball Courts and, 3 Basket Ball courts, one of which has the facility of flood lights and fibre glass boards. The Academy has also a small Kabaddi court where interested trainee officers can play Kabaddi. There are 5 Lawn Tennis courts in the Academy of which 2 are cemented and 3 are clay courts. All the clay courts are floodlit.
Officer's Club
 The Officers' Club is located in the Swimming Pool complex. It has a Billiards Table, Card Tables and Music System. Facilities for snacks and soft drinks exist there. The Club functions on all working days between 1800 hrs and 2100 hrs. As may be notified, Thursday evenings are Club evenings where members of faculty and their families, the trainee officers and other in-service training participants on the campus meet for social interaction. The Academy band also remains in attendance on Club evenings.
Printing Press
 The Academy set up a multi-colour Swift Printing Press with laminating machine, cutting machine, laser writer, laser printer with H.P. scanner, etc. All Academy publications, invitations, cards, course material, etc. are now composed at our DTP centre and published by our Printing Press. Colour xerox machine has been acquired recently and installed in the DTP Section.
Motor Transport Section
 To acquaint the trainee officers with the basics of driving, the section conducts the necessary classes. Additionally, instructions on important aspects of motor mechanics are imparted with a view to familiarising the trainees with the internal mechanics of vehicles.
Photo Gallery
 A Photo Gallery, displaying the photographs of various functions, events, etc., available in the Academy from its inception in 1948 has been set up. The gallery contains blow ups of the high dignitaries of the country who visited the Academy and a separate enclosure with the portraits of the I.P.S. Officers who laid down their lives in the service of the nation.
Central IPS Mess
(a) The Mess is run by the trainee officers themselves on a contributory basis. The Mess Committee is elected by the trainee officers and it functions under the overall guidance of the President Mess Committee, who is an Assistant Director, so nominated by the President of the Central IPS Officers' Mess (Director of the Academy). The Committee comprises of a Secretary, and six other members. This organisation, besides meeting the messing requirements of the trainee officers, helps develop managerial and organisational skills amongst the office-bearers.
(b) Every trainee officer under training is a regular member of the Mess and no trainee officer is permitted to opt out. The Mess Committee organises formal and informal evenings. On several of these occasions, trainee officers are joined by the Director and the members of the faculty and staff.
(c) The Mess is an institution of the Academy and the Service where the trainee officers meet in an informal/formal atmosphere. It is more than a mere eating place. It is supposed to be the centre of community life at the Academy and its dignity must always be upheld. The Academy attaches the highest importance on development of proper etiquette and manners and high standards of courtesy and decorum as befitting officers of the higher Civil Services. The handbook on `Etiquette, Good Manners and Ceremonials' which contains detailed instructions may be referred to and followed by all trainee officers scrupulously.

Senior Officers Mess
The Academy has renovated Senior Officers Mess in the month of August 2006. The mess has 40 well furnished single rooms which are being allocated for the senior course participants. The mess has also been provided with a computer kiosk along with Internet connectivity.
